Help Shape the Future of Our City!

City of Pine Bluff is entering an exciting new chapter, and Mayor Vivian Flower invites you to be a part of it. As we transition to a new administration, we are forming a Transition Advisory Board (TAB) guide our priorities and ensure a people powered, inclusive start.

The Transition Advisory Board Committees will play a critical role in:

  • Setting key goals and strategies to ensure transparency and accountability .
  • Advising on policies and initiatives that reflect the needs of our community.
  • Supporting the development of a roadmap for the City of Pine Bluff's future.

We are looking for diverse, passionate, and knowledgeable individuals to join us in shaping a city that works for everyone.

Who Should Apply?

We encourage applications from:

  • Community Leaders: Individuals with deep ties to neighborhoods, advocacy groups, or civic organizations.
  • Professionals and Experts: Specialists in fields such as public health, education, housing, transportation, business development, sustainability, and public safety.
  • Grassroots Volunteers: Residents with a history of civic engagement or volunteerism.
  • Youth and Students: Young leaders who are passionate about the future of our city.
  • Advocates for Equity: Individuals committed to addressing systemic challenges and ensuring opportunities for all residents.

No prior government experience is required-just a commitment to collaboration and a shared vision for Pine Bluff.

Time Commitment

Members will serve for 3 months during the transition period. Meetings may be virtual, in-person, or hybrid.

Transition Advory Board Application

Vacancy Notice 

This notice is to inform the public that there is one (1) vacancy on the Civic Auditorium Complex Board. Applicants must be a qualified elector within Pine Bluff, AR, and shall serve for a term of five (7) years. The duties of the commissioners through the Executive Director shall commit to manage, operate, maintain, and keep in a good state of repair the Pine Bluff Municipal Auditorium and related facilities. To apply, submit a written statement declaring your qualifications and desire for a position to the Pine Bluff Mayor's Office at mayor@cityofpinebluff-ar.gov by January 2nd at 5:00 pm.

Applicants must be a qualified elector within the city limits of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The positions are volunteer positions with no compensation. Application information can be found under the Commissions and Board tab on the City of Pine Bluff website. Applications must be received no later than December 20, 2024.

This notice is to inform the public that there is one (1) vacancy on the Urban Renewal Board. Applicants must be a qualified elector within Pine Bluff, AR, and shall serve for a term of five (5) years. To apply, submit a written statement declaring your qualifications and desire for a position to the Pine Bluff Mayor's Office at mayor@cityofpinebluff-ar.gov  by November 7 at 5:00 pm.

This notice is to inform the public there are two (2) vacancies on the Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission. The A&P Commission is charged with the responsibility of administering the city's advertising and promotion fund, and meets the fourth Monday of every month at 4:30 p.m.

  • One (1) vacancy is for the public-at-large position and will complete the remaining term of the previous public-at-large commissioner which expires on 9/30/26. This position will be eligible for re-appointment.
  • One (1) vacancy is for an owner or manager of a hotel, motel, or restaurant and will complete the remaining term of the previous tourism industry commissioner which expires on 5/31/27. This position will be eligible for re-appointment.

Applicants must be a qualified elector within the city limits of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Both positions are volunteer positions with no compensation.
